I would recommend if you do not like a snug fit to size up. I wear an 18 and got an 18. They fit me perfectly, but are a little snugger than most as they are super straight leg. Mind you, I did feel bound up or as if they were too tight, just snug. I know some people do not care for that, so it’s personal preference.

These very comfortable. I do not own many colored jeans but glad I bought these. They go with so many things. They are little tight in the legs but are very stretchy so it's not uncomfortable.
